Burning Permits Cancelled & High Fire Danger in Gordon WI

While most of our region has a relatively low fire danger now, Gordon is the exception to the case. A Facebook post from Gordon Volunteer Fire Department has notified the public that burning permits have been cancelled and that there is a very high fire danger.

Digging in and looking further into this on the North America fire danger map, Gordon is the only spot with a high fire danger as of 4/26. The majority of the Northland is in a moderate to high fire danger.

In spring when the snow melts and the dead grass dries out, it can be a dangerous time of year for fires. Please use caution and prevent forest fires.
