Blake Shelton took 2019 CMA Awards viewers to "God's Country" on Wednesday night (Nov. 13). The country star and The Voice coach performed his recent No. 1 single during the annual awards show, literally setting fire to the stage.

The 43-year-old was introduced by his friend and supporter, Craig Morgan.

"I am proud to introduce a big man with an even bigger heart, who's always stood by me," Morgan remarked to the crowd and those watching at home. "He helped the world hear my song, 'The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost' "Now it's my honor to introduce him, singing the Single of the Year, 'God's Country.'"

Shelton's performance included a towering fire in the background as he sang, guitar in hand. His one-song set also included an impressive fiddle solo that had the crowd roaring. Later in the show, the "Austin" icon performed alongside Garth Brooks on their most recent collaboration, "Dive Bar." It was the pair's first time performing their epic duet at an awards show.

"God's Country" netted three nominations at the 2019 CMA Awards, in the Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories. Rising artists Devin Dawson and Hardy co-wrote the song with Jordan Schmidt.

Next year, Shelton will launch is Friends and Heroes Tour with support from the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson, Trace Adkins and Lauren Alaina. The tour kicks off on Jan. 25 in Shelton's home state of Oklaholma and goes through the end of March.
