I know I am not the only one that has a hard time getting up in the morning! Granted, my alarm clock goes off earlier than most but I feel like no matter what time you get up for work, it always requires at least one press of the "snooze" button.

I have always been the kind of person to have at least three alarm clocks every morning, with the first one being at 4:15 a.m. I always thought that if I had three different alarms, I would never oversleep and never have to worry about missing an alarm if I was in a deep sleep.

While oversleeping has never been a problem, getting up when the first alarm goes off definitely has. I was shocked when my boyfriend told me to try something new and while simple, I can say that it actually works!

So what is the hack? Rather than have several alarm clocks or even more than just one, have one alarm set for the next morning. That way when it goes off, you know that you don't have time to hit "snooze" and you will get out of the habit of hitting snooze a few times in the morning. It is simple but after trying this out, I can say this is effective!

You should set your alarm with a little bit of leeway so you can lay there for a minute or two if you want and not be rushed. Don't set it too early so you know you have time to sleep in. Instead, pick a good time to wake up and set your alarm. You will be more well rested without pressing snooze a few times in the morning and less rushed.

I feel way better than when I set a handful of alarms. I always snoozed the first one, would fall back into a deep sleep, snooze the second one and then get up when my third one went off, which was an "emergency" alarm to make sure I don't oversleep at all. That led to being rushed at times and not having a restful morning.

This hack may seem a little too simple to work but try it out! I think that anyone else that has a hard time getting out of their cozy, warm bed in the morning will be thankful for this little life hack. Who doesn't want life to be a little easier? (Plus, there are a lot of benefits for rising early, especially in the Twin Ports.)
