5 Reasons To Take Part In The North End Nightmare 5K
Do you love Halloween? If you do, this is a must!
Grandma's Marathon announced a new race event back in August: the North End Nightmare 5K. It takes place in Superior and is going to be a spooky good time. (There will also be a Spider Dash for kids.)
The race is coming up at the end of October. I signed up the second I heard about it. It seems like such a fun and unique race and I just couldn't resist.
Runners will take to the streets along some spooky themed areas for about three miles across Superior. The course takes you from the crossroads of Tower Avenue and North 6th Street around Hughitt Avenue to North 4th Street to Top Hat Tavern, right near the end of the course.
If you haven't signed up yet, let me convince you to do so. Here are five reasons you need to drop everything and sign up before it's too late:
- 1
It's Different
At what other race can you run through the streets of a town and run the risk of being spooked by goblins and ghouls and all things scary? In fact, some parts of the course may be so spooky you are asked to call the office ahead of time and speak with a Grandma's rep before you register your little one. You can do so at 218-727-0947, by the way.

It's A First
This is the first ever North End Nightmare 5k. You could become part of history and tradition and say you were there when it all began.
- 3
The Prizes
If you take part in the 5k, you get an awesome 'North End Nightmare' hoodie, which looks fancy and warm. Kids taking part in the Spider Dash will receive a commemorative tote bag they can use to trick or treat. Win!

It's Cheap
Taking part in the 5k won't put a dent in your wallet. In fact, between now and October 24th, it is just thirty bucks to take part for adults and just $15 bucks for kids.

It's Halloween Themed
Enough said.
