5 Other Country Stars Who Could’ve Been 2017’s “Sexiest Man Alive”
I'm sure you've heard by now that Blake Shelton was named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2017. I won't lie and say he would be my first choice but was I angry at the choice? No. In fact, I even defended him against the haters who said he didn't deserve it. It's all in good fun and any country star would have been a good choice. They are all beautiful and great in their own way.
Who else would have made a great cover star? It's hard to narrow it down but here's what I think.
- 1
Jon Pardi
I am not subtle about my love for Jon Pardi. In fact, I talk about it often. I think he could have taken the title and people would have been happy with it. He is a huge star on the rise. He just won his first CMA Award. He keeps it country. He's also tall, handsome and super sweet. Swoon.

Brett Young
Brett Young is probably too new to take the title but I think he would have been a good fit. He's beautiful AND on an amazing streak with his music. He is a super versatile artist too. Listen to "Mercy" if you need any further explanation.
- 3
Keith Urban
Keith's career and music have stood the test of time. He continues to put out hit song after hit song. He is one of the sweetest guys in the business. He is constantly cheering on other artists. He remains humble. Perhaps the best thing about Keith? His love for his wife and family. It never gets old.

Brett Eldredge
Brett has been deemed the most eligible bachelor and for good reason. His charm and upbeat tunes are just a few reasons why he'd make a great cover boy. He'd absolutely snag the title if it was based on voice alone. His is one of the best in country music. He's also not bad to look at but that goes without saying. Side note: he's a great friend, too.

Thomas Rhett
Is there anything better than Thomas and his sweet family? He is constantly sharing photos of his two little girls and his gorgeous wife, Lauren. He is also one of the biggest stars in country music. He's humble as can be and always puts on a good show. I have a feeling he will be on the cover of this issue one day. He loves Duluth, too.
