Heart Shaped Fruit
I've only seen this made with watermelon and strawberries, but if you're creative the sky is the limit. Use a small heart shaped cookie cutter and a watermelon slice. When I was young seedless watermelons were the topic of a conversation that went like this, "you know what I wish? I wish I didn't have to spit watermelon seeds out all the time, I wish they could grow a watermelon without seeds." Who knew it was one wish that would come true! It makes it easy to make perfect heart shaped watermelon cutouts. For strawberries, just cut the greens at the top of the fruit off in a V shape, then slice. The slice should be shaped like a heart! Make Heart Shaped Chocolate Dipped And Decorated Pretzels
This one is easy to make, is shaped like a heart and satisfies the salty, sweet and the crunchy. They are super eye catching too!
You’ll need a bag of the twist pretzels (the bigger the pretzel, the bigger the heart. 1.5 to 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate or dark chocolate if that is preferred. Heart shaped or sprinkles of your choice, usually red, white and pink if you’re making it around Valentine’s Day.
Using a double boiler (I’ve tried melting in the microwave and it has never worked for me), melt the chocolate chips, stirring until the chocolate is smooth. Then dip half of your pretzel in the chocolate to evenly coat it. Place on wax or parchment paper and decorate with your sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. Let them completely dry before attempting to move them.
Maybe this is something you could do together. I mean, don’t expect a scene like the one from “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore making pottery, but make it what you will. [LINK]

Frozen Whipped Cream Hearts
This one is perfect if you have little Valentine's to include, you can make frozen whipped cream hearts and put it in their hot chocolate.
You only need a couple cups of whipped cream and you can use the powdered package and make it or I simplified and used Cool Whip. If you make your own from a package add a 1/2 cup of water to help with the freezing process. If you use Cool Whip, I found that you need to use less, about 1/4 cup or it dilutes the flavor. You can also add a slight bit of food coloring depending on the holiday. Valentine's Day, use red and they'll be pink or you could use green and make shamrocks for St. Patty's Day. Trees or stars around the holidays.
After you've whipped your cream and added color if you wish, pour the mixture into a shallow pan lined with parchment paper and freeze for an hour or two. Then, remove and cut out the shape you desire. Put on top of your hot cocoa and enjoy the delighted smiles! [LINK]
