Two separate men have been charged in separate incidents for their 6th OWI each after being pulled over by the Wisconsin State Patrol in just a matter of weeks.

At first, it was hard to believe. Really? Two people drove over 100 miles per hour while drunk and got caught? But it is true. One of the arrests was made this week in Waushara County.

WBAY reports that the 44-year-old from Wautoma, Wisconsin was pulled over by a trooper clocking in at 104 MPH. The traffic stop took place near Berlin, Wisconsin.

The troop observed signs of impairment, and the driver failed a field sobriety test. He was cited for speeding, and also arrested for battery to a law enforcement officer. It's now his 6th OWI (operating while intoxicated) which can carry a prison term of 1-10 years.

I looked back on the Wisconsin State Patrol's Facebook page to see if they had posted anything about it. On September 13, they posted a photo of a traffic stop where a driver got their 6th OWI. I thought it must be the same story, but no. This took place in Monroe County sometime in the prior week.

That person was driving at 115MPH. He told officers he wanted to see how fast his car would go. His blood alcohol level was .195 which is twice the legal limit.

So there you have it, two drunk drivers going over 100MPH on a Wisconsin Road in under a three-week time period. Both of them getting their 6th OWI.
