Do you love the library as much as I do? You have a chance to celebrate your love of books and the spot you get them from in September with a fun annual event. The Duluth Library Foundation will be hosting their 12th annual Learning & Libations Event.

The event supports the Duluth Public Library and takes place on Friday, September 15th. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and goes through 9:30 p.m. The Duluth Public Library is a staple in the area, located at 520 West Superior Street. (It is the building covered in books. Ha!)

EVENT: Malibu Barbie Cafe Coming To MOA This Fall

The event is the signature fundraising event for the Duluth Public Library, so you are not only having fun but you are also supporting a pillar in the community! The event will have a live auction, live music from Born Too Late, food by Black Woods, wine and beer selections and prize giveaways. You also get the chance to explore the library after hours.

Mike Scholtz and Hailey Edienschink from Minnesota Historia will also be at the event. Minnesota Historia is a program on PBS North that looks into some "quirky" things from the history of the state.
You are encouraged to dress up and celebrate your past or a past era that you enjoy. The event is for those ages twenty-one and up and you have to show an ID to get into the event. Like I said, it's all for a good cause.

THROWBACK: Minnesota Man Returns Library Book After 50 Years

Here's how the event and your support will help the Duluth Public Library, per the website:

Your support will make a difference by helping the Foundation to raise private funds to purchase books and other library materials, invest in new technology, and support programs for children, families, and adults.

Tickets are currently priced at eighty-five bucks for early bird general admission. These prices are in effect until later this month so grab your ticket at a cheaper cost while you can! The price increases to one-hundred bucks after August 25th. The event is put on by the Duluth Library Foundation, which works for the Duluth Public Library.
