The weather has certainly cooperated for families to get out and enjoy Bentleyville early this year!  Last weekend we were driving Southbound on I-35 and saw a HUGE back-up on the Northbound lanes near Bentleyville.  I immediately asked my husband if there was a UMD hockey game, symphony performance or something that was causing the back-up.  It was Bentleyville and that has prompted the Duluth Police Department to issue a traffic advisory and information about additional parking.

The day that Bentleyville opened they had record attendance and people just keep coming to enjoy the new LED lighting and making priceless memories and taking L O T S of pictures.

If you're lucky (and early) you may have the opportunity to park at one of the lots adjacent to Bay Front Park.  If that's full and you can plan ahead, there are alternatives to make it easier.

There's additional parking on the downtown streets, in Canal Park and our parking ramps.  Don't think that will add miles and miles of walking to your evening, the Greater Downtown Council is providing free shuttle service on Friday and Saturday nights.  You could even hop on the “Jingle Bus”!  It runs approximately every 20 minutes. The Canal Park Jingle Bus stop is at Buchanan Street near Canal Park Drive.  The Downtown Jingle Bus travels along Superior Street with stops at Greysolon Plaza, Holiday Center and the Radisson Hotel.

They are expecting a huge attendance this weekend, you are asked to use alternative routes entering the Bay Front Festival Park Area.
