Hey, you win some and you lose some, but these 5 had high expectations and they just never panned out after they entered the league.

The NFL Draft begins Thursday night and the first couple of rounds are filled with excitement. By Saturday, the third day of the draft, teams are looking for sleepers, athletes with potential from smaller schools and for roster depth. To make sure there's some fan excitement in the later rounds, NFL teams will have special guests announce their picks from all over the world.

The Minnesota Vikings were in desperate need of a big wide receiver going into the draft. Another frail speedster was not what Teddy Bridgewater needed, he needed someone who could fight for the ball, block and break tackles.  Even though Laquon Treadwell was the fourth receiver taken, I believe he was the best receiver for the Vikings.

The first round of the 2015 NFL Draft was completed on Thursday night in Chicago. There were no huge surprises, but we did learn a few things from the night’s activities.

After three days and 256 selections, NFL teams stocked their rosters with talented college football players via the 2014 NFL Draft.

As Rick Spielman has done in previous drafts, the Vikings traded with the Seattle Seahwaks to get pick number 32, the final pick of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. With that pick, they addressed their need at quarterback.

The Minnesota Vikings traded down from 8 to 9 in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, swapping places with the Cleveland Browns. With all but Blake Bortles on the board, many anticipated Minnesota to select a quarterback. Rick Spielman and clan had other plans, looking to boost the defense.

Following the NFL's decision to move the 2014 NFL Draft two weeks later in the year, football fans are finally getting their chance to see what fresh faces will be joining their favorite team. 2014 NFL Draft - First Round Picks

It's a busy weekend of NFL free agency and the Vikings have kept their offensive line in tact while the Packers made a big splash with a big name for their defensive line.

The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers focused on defense through the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Green Bay had one pick at 26, while Minnesota entered last night with two picks (23, 25) after earning an extra in the Percy Harvin trade.

The NFL Draft is only a couple days away, and  football-starved fans can hardly wait to see who their favorite team picks through the weekend festivities. Thanks in part to the Percy Harvin trade with Seattle, the Vikings have two draft picks in the first round: 23 and 25...

The Green Bay Packers wanted another pass rusher to compliment Clay Matthews and they feel the got one in USC's Nick Perry.  Some people question his consistency, but he did play for a program that tends to generate pro productive pro athletes.  What do you think, Packer fans?
