The Barron County Sheriff's Office says they received a call from a pet owner saying that their pet snake had escaped from their home. They believed the snake had made its way to the roof of their home.

As the Sheriff's Department said, they think the term giant was a bit of an undersell. The deputies were able to climb a ladder and use a variety of tools to retrieve the giant snake. Having some fun with it, they also called it a "nope rope," and joked that most people move to Northwest Wisconsin to escape these jungle monsters.

Thank God they found it, that would have given someone quite the scare. I'm pretty sure the neighborhood rodents would have been taken care of.
