The original Robocop came out in 1987, starring Peter Weller.  I remember seeing it in the theater and really liking it.  It mixed action, drama, comedy and some gross violence into a movie was pretty popular.  It even had some bad sequels that you don't need to see.  Now, Robocop is has been remade for 2014.

Should they have left it alone?  It does have a fairly strong cast with the likes of Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton, and they've appeared to keep the key story elements about his memory and emotions coming into play.

Take a look at the new preview, as well as the preview for the original Robocop and see what you think.  I guess, in regards to the remake, "I'd buy that for a dollar"!
