My husband and I wait for this day and celebrate!  The significance is that we can start parking in "our lot" near the Lakewalk without having to pay for parking.  I'm not the only Duluth resident that is bummed that I pay taxes year round and all summer long I have to pay to park and use my own City's amenities. But, that's not the case for the next few months.

I realize they/we are trying to capitalize on our visitors to the City during the busiest summer months.  I've even made the suggestion to the Mayor to allow the local residents the opportunity to buy a discounted card to use for parking.  He liked the idea, the problem was that there are several parking lots that are not owned by the City and that would cause confusion.

Please note that doesn't mean ALL of the Duluth Parking Lot locations are going with a seasonal no charge, there are only certain ones that will make that change.
