Zac Brown Band Named As Headliners For 2022 Minnesota State Fair
Well, this is a bit early, right? The Minnesota State Fair just announced the very first act that will headline the Grandstand come this summer and it just so happens it is one of the biggest groups in country music.
This is one of many concert announcements as of late. Earlier this year, it was announced that Granger Smith and Lainey Wilson would come to Duluth to play a show at AMSOIL Arena. LANCO will also be joining the show, which will take place in April.
Dierks Bentley also recently announced a one-off show in Minnesota. He will be in Welch in late May performing a show at Treasure Island Resort & Casino. The show will be outdoors and Ashley McBryde will be the opening act.
The show I am most excited for is Jake Owen coming to Bayfront Festival Park this summer! He will be headlining Bayfront Country Jam along with newcomer Tyler Rich. Bayfront Festival Park in the summertime really is one of the best things ever.
Now, we have even more summertime concerts to look forward to. Zac Brown Band will be headlining a show at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand. In a surprise announcement Tuesday (February 8th), the Minnesota State Fair announced the band would be taking the stage this summer - the first headliners announced for the big event.
They announced the news on their Facebook page, stating that the show would be part of the group's Out In The Middle Tour. The opening act will be the Robert Randolph Band. The show will be Friday, September 2nd.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, February 11th at 10 a.m. our time. There are a few different ticket options, with prices ranging from $75 bucks to about $200 bucks depending on where you want to sit. You can buy tickets via the Minnesota State Fair's website when they go on sale.
The show will kick off at 7 p.m. with the opener. Robert Randolph is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who was once named one of the 100 best guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone. He appeals to many different genres, including rock, blues, gospel and soul.
Of course, we all know Zac Brown Band as one of the biggest groups in country music over the past decade. You can catch their biggest hits live, including their most recent smash single Same Boat.
They have been to Minnesota plenty of time over the years but it's been awhile. Now, we have a chance to see them again this summer at the biggest get together of the year!
In the meantime, you can see many other country shows in Duluth and beyond. Sam Hunt will be playing a few hours from Duluth in Welch, which is totally worth a road trip, considering he doesn't play too many shows these days.
Kenny Chesney will also be playing a show at U.S. Bank Stadium in August, after having to postpone said show a handful of times since it was first announced due to the pandemic. You can keep up with this show and more with our concert calendar.
