Jerome Simpson officially faces 2 DWI charges in relation to his recent arrest in the Twin Cities.  While he has not been suspended by the league as of yet, the Vikings are disappointed with him to the point where he may not start Sunday in Seattle.

Simpson is expected to be in Seattle and even play during the game, but rookie Cordarrelle Patterson is very likely to get the start.  StarTribune.com is reporting that when head coach Leslie Frazier was asked if Patterson would get more practice time with the starters this week, he stated that it's definitely going to be the case due to recent events.

Jerome Simpson can be a dynamic player, but he appears to be his own worst enemy.  Hopefully he can get his personal issues straightened out, but in the meantime it will good for Patterson to get some real playing time to help him grow into what many believe will be a game changing wide receiver.

When he was drafted, they said the sky was the limit but it would take time because he had so much to learn.  It's time to learn on the fly.
