Wisconsin just got a nice shout-out from USA Today. Out of all the state parks across the country, one of Wisconsin's prettiest has been named one of the top 10 in the country.

USA Today has an expert panel for many categories, including outdoors and travel. Their editors selected 10 magnificent State Parks across the United States that they deemed the best.

Minnesota's Gooseberry Falls near Two Harbors, Minnesota, made the list, coming in at number 3. It's hard to beat the stunning views of the waterfalls rushing, especially in the springtime on Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior.

Another great lake plays a part in Wisconsin's best state park. Lake Michigan on the east coast of Wisconsin brings beauty to many parts of the state, including Door County.

Coming in at number 6 is Wisconsin's Peninsula State Park. It's located in Door County near Fish Creek, Wisconsin. They highlight the eight miles of shoreline, 20 miles of hiking trails, 12 miles of off-road bike trails, and stunning views of Green Bay and nearby islands. There's also abundant wildlife, water activities, and swimming at the beach.

Peninsula State Park Golf Course

Peninsula State Park also has a beautiful golf course right on the shores of Lake Michigan. There's an 18-hole course and a short 6-hole course.
