Our friends at WDIO reported that the WI State Senate has voted to delay the wolf hunt.  But, if you don't read more into the story, you'll lose a lot of information about what is actually going on.

There still isn't a wolf hunt in WI, as the federal government put the wolves back on the endangered species list.  However, if the hunt resumes it will be on different dates this year.  Representative Al Ott introduced the bill to move the start from Oct. 15 until the first Saturday in November.

Currently, the season interferes with bird hunting season and the wolves coats for winter haven't fully grown.

The bill is now headed to Governor Scott walker to sign.

On the other side of the border, wolves near the city have made the news.
