A group of Wisconsin lawmakers want to set a minimum age for purchasing vaping and tobacco products.  Republican state Senator Howard Marklein has introduced a bill that would prohibit the sale of these type of products to anyone under the age of 21.

With the widespread use of vaping across the country and now the medical reports of minors suffering from severe lung damage allegedly caused by vaping it is no surprise that a bill of this nature has come to light. According to the story from CBS3 "as many as 50 people in at least six states have been stricken with breathing illnesses that may be linked to e-cigarettes or vaping products."

Currently the age in Wisconsin to buy tobacco or any vaping products is 18 years old. Now we will have to wait and see if this proposed bill goes through and then if other states will follow Wisconsin's lead.
