Last night Chris Stapleton walked away with THREE CMA's.  It was a big surprise for most people watching the show, since nobody has really heard of this guy.  It was also a big surprise to him, and he had a very humble and thankful award speech.  So who is Chris Stapleton?  Turns out you've probably already loved some of his songs.

He's written songs for Thomas Rhett, including 'Crash and Burn' and 'Something To Do With My Hands.'

He's also has writing credits for Luke Bryan's 'Drink A Beer,' Gary Allan's 'Hangover Tonight,'  Trace Adkins, 'Swing,' and Josh Turner's Your Man.

He's been friends with Justin Timberlake, and he was surprised when JT agreed to be on the CMA's.  There is no doubt that this performance is going to really help Chris Stapleton's career.  He's super talented, and it's very refreshing to see him win last night.

He also played at AMSOIL arena with Little Big Town right here in Duluth earlier this year.

There's also been a hashtag started #tennesseewhiskey, talking about the perfomance.  They started off their duo with an old George Jone's song 'Tennessee Whiskey,' followed by JT's 'Drink You Away.'   It also goes to show that Justin Timberlake can OWN any room he's put in.
