What A Guy! Adam Thielen Takes Time To Greet Minnesota Vikings Fans At Pro-Am
Isn't it nice when a celebrity is just as nice as you'd hope they would be? That's what a handful of Vikings fans were feeling when they spotted Adam Thielen teeing off at the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro-Am in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tournament features professional athletes and celebrities playing along with PGA players. It's one of the most fun golf events of the year.
Thielen was teeing off on the sixth tee box. A friend of mine, David, was there on vacation watching the golf tournament. He's a big Vikings fan and watched Adam Thielen hit a big drive. Then Thielen walked off the tee box towards a group of fans waiting for his autograph or selfie.
Thielen's future with the Vikings is uncertain, but that doesn't mean he would turn his back on his Minnesota fans. We're all hoping there's a way to keep him in the Gopher state.
This tournament attracts a fun, party crowd. Lots of fans eagerly wait for the chance to get a selfie or autograph from celebrities. Sometimes they get lucky. That's the case here with Thielen. He didn't discriminate against anyone. Kids got autographs, and even an almost 40-year-old dad got his #19 Thielen jersey signed by him.
I'm proud of David for waiting for the kids to make sure they got their autographs first.
Thielen was golfing along with Scott Bradley, Mike Clow, Rusty Daigle, and Pro Bily Horschel on the front nine. On the back nine, they were joined by Pro Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
Minnesota Vikings fans love Thielen. Not only is he a great wide receiver, but he's also a great person off the field. He was the Minnesota Vikings nominee for Walter Payton's Man Of The Year Award for his charity work in the community.
His generosity showed as he took a quick moment to make these fans' day.
