Fall is by far the busiest season for Minnesota's North Shore. The North Shore Scenic Drive is bumper to bumper during the autumn season with tourists flocking to see the beautiful fall colors.
It's fantastic for business and tourism dollars. It also can be frustrating to locals who have to fight the traffic. Sometimes, tourists are even rude. It's happened far too many times.

First off, let's be clear. Most people LOVE Gooseberry Falls. I do too. It's a magical place. It's the closest place to Duluth to really experience the North Shore and its waterfalls.

Sorry, Nandan. The water is the color it is because of nature, and we really can't help that.
It's too crowded, and it's the worst drive imaginable.
If you've tried to drive up the North Shore on a weekend during the fall, you probably can relate to HB.
There's no place for us to park our RV!

Wait a minute, what? Yeah, burning restrictions can be a real drag, but it's so we don't burn the falls down.
Big crowds mean messy bathrooms. It was the single most negative review that popped up quite often. So try to use the bathroom before you visit.
