Duluth is in store for some much-needed spring-cleaning, volunteer to help this April.

Duluth Parks and The Duluth Experience team up to coordinate the annual Skyline Parkway Spring Cleanup. Last year's cleanup included over 70 volunteers who removed 1,360 pounds of abandoned litter material in addition to scrap metal, a mini-fridge and numerous tires that were found along the route. By all accounts, it was a sweeping success.

This year's spring cleanup will be held on Sunday, April 28th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with volunteers meeting at Lake Superior Brewing Company before being deployed to various locations along Skyline Parkway. All necessary supplies will be provided by the City of Duluth.

Volunteers are invited to join a post-cleanup celebration at Lake Superior Brewing - with drinks, food, and prizes.

"We've got an amazing landscape here in the Northland and it's important to show it some love," said Lake Superior Brewing's Vice President, Lisa Blade. "It's always fun to get together with like-minded folks to make a positive difference in our community."
