Vista Fleet is gearing up for a hopefully busy season as the pandemic subsides, and they'll be offering a new cruise later this year.

The leaves haven't even really started to grow yet, but you can book a fall colors cruise called the "Lunch & Leaves" cruise where you'll enjoy a sail through the St. Louis River system and surrounding foliage and enjoy some lunch from MidCoast Catering.

The "Lunch & Leaves" cruise is scheduled to start on September 18th and will run Saturday and Sunday through October 3rd, each cruise departs at 12:30 PM and will lat about 2 hours.

The included lunch from MidCoast catering will offer passengers three meal choices, each meal  is served with wild rice soup, chips and a dessert.

  • Turkey, Bacon & Swiss (with Cranberry Mayo, Lettuce and Tomato)
  • Asian Chicken Salad Croissant (with Lettuce and Tomato)
  • Hummus Wrap (with Zuccini, Squash, Roasted Red Peppers, Spinach and Hummus)

During the couple hour cruise passengers will "learn about the Duluth/Superior Harbor, the science and ecology of the St. Louis River system, as well view unique and historic bridges." Keep in mind that this cruise will not go under the famous lift bridge and will not cruise on Lake Superior, this cruise will remain in the St. Louis river system.

The Vista Fleet is also bringing back a newly remodeled Vista Queen this season its first cruise is scheduled for June 1st for a sunset dinner cruise.
