The Minnesota Vikings will host the Washington Redskins on Thursday, October 24, and they've announced they'll be in special all purple uniforms for the nationally televised game.

According to Vikings.com, the Vikings have worn the combination of purple jerseys and pants five times in team history.  The most recent was on December 1, 2016, when the Vikings lost to the Dallas Cowboys 17-15 in a game that Head Coach Mike Zimmer had to miss because of emergency eye surgery.

The Washington Redskins will come to town in a bit of disarray after recently firing head coach Jay Gruden.  Former Viking Case Keenum began the season as their starting quarterback, but has since been injured.  There is no telling if Keenum will be the starting quarterback against the Vikings, but that would certainly make for a fun story to follow leading up to and through the game.

Hopefully, he'll complete another pass or two to the Vikings once again on this night.
