Many of us have had ideas at some point of starting our own business.  Maybe you have something to excel at or have just been tired of working for someone else.  It's easy to want to start your own, but getting that process rolling can seem like a big challenge, especially if you don't know where to even start.

There is help though, for those with that entrepreneurial spirit.  UW-Superior is hosting free First Steps to Starting a Business sessions.

During these, they will walk you through the steps involved in starting a new business.  You'll get information on developing a lean or visual business plan, licensing and taxing, and market research.  Materials and resources will also be provided to participants that can be a big help on the way to starting your own business.

There are options for attending virtually and also in-person.  The next sessions take place on Thursday, January 14th from 6:00-8:00PM, and the following one will be on Thursday, January 21st, also from 6:00-8:00PM.  While the sessions are free to attend, you do need to register and you can do that HERE.  It's a new year and maybe it's time that you take your business idea and run with it.  At a minimum, for a couple hours of your time and no monetary cost, you can at least see if owning your own business is something you would like to work towards.
