Property Crimes Person of the Week ARRESTED After A Foot Chase

We asked if you knew the whereabouts of the Property Crimes Person of the Week. After it was shared on social media and several comments were made on the post, he was arrested. Nice job, Northland! Here's the update.

PREVIOUSLY:

They were looking for Curtis Guy Markkula, a 39 year old white male. Curt Markkula has a felony warrant for his arrest for violation of probation stemming from a Burglary/controlled substance/felon in possession of a firearm case.

UPDATE:

On Tuesday, October 14th at 1:05 AM Duluth Police received information that Markkula was in the 200 block of West 2nd Street. As an officer arrived in the area Markkula ran, after a short foot chase he was located and arrested.

Curt Markkula was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for the warrants.
