I am absolutely obsessed with coffee so this is music to my ears! A new coffee shop is coming to downtown Duluth.

A new coffee shop is opening in the Board Of Trade building along West 1st Street. Underwood Coffee Cafe is coming very soon!

The big news was shared on social media this month, and it completely made my day because it is just a short walk from the station.

I was not the only one excited. People flooded the comments section of the announcement with congratulations and excitement about a new coffee option in the Northland!

According to the big announcement by the owner himself, there is not an exact opening date at the moment but the coffee shop will open sometime this summer.

Underwood Coffee Cafe is owned by Jake Underwood (hence the name), who became a barista more than a decade ago. Today, he runs and operates Underwood Coffee, a coffee roasting company. This is an awesome next step!

The owner recently shared a video giving a few more details on the opening of Underwood Coffee Cafe. In the video, he says that he doesn't have an opening date and things are aways off but demolition has begun.

He also shared that if you applied for a position at the new coffee shop, you might not hear back for awhile, as that is still a ways out as well. I just know that I can't wait for this shop to open and see what types of coffee are on the menu!
