Two Northland Mann Theaters Will Open For Movies on June 26th
Family owned Mann Theaters has announced that they are opening on Friday, June 26th at all of their Minnesota locations. They've shared the safety measures they've put in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The Mann Hibbing Cinema 8 is featuring throwback blockbuster movies this Friday for $5. They'll be showing Back To The Future, Goonies, Grease, Jaws, Jurassic Park (1993), and then the current Sonic The Hedgehog.
Mann's Cinema 8 In Grand Rapids, MN is also opening Friday.
They also shared on Facebook what they are doing to protect you. All employees must have their temperatures checked at the beginning of their shift. Anyone with a fever is required to quarantine themselves at home and not return to work until they have been symptom free for 72 hours. They've also reduced auditorium capacity with social distancing guidelines in place. Plastic shields are placed over the concession counters and ticket booths as well.
Meanwhile Marcus Theaters that operates Duluth 10, and Lakes 10 in Hermantown shared plans for how things will look when they do reopen. As of the writing of this article, their website still says "opening date coming soon."
Premiere Theaters in Cloquet announced on Facebook that they will share their plan for reopening soon. They did give a date of reopening for July 10th.
