They say that turkey production is at its lowest level in nearly 30 years.  While there may be enough turkey in your grocer's freezer, you might be paying a little more per pound.  My family was so small we resorted to turkey rolls for a few years (sad, I know).  However, there is another option.  A FREE turkey dinner with all the trimmings at the DECC on Thanksgiving Day.  Everyone is invited!

It's the 25th year that the community has come together to share a meal and fellowship for the holiday.  It is held at the DECC every year, but there are also satellite locations in Carlton, Cloquet and Two Harbors.  Also, about 1,500 meals are delivered to home-bound residents who pre-order holiday meals to be delivered on Thanksgiving Day.  This year orders will be taken through Friday, November 21 by calling 723-6484 to request meal delivery.  If you are not a home-bound person,  jump on a FREE bus, carpool with friends or family and come to the DECC to enjoy a family dining style buffet with many festivities.

Diners will be shuttled from the Holiday Center to the DECC and continuous bus transportation will be available throughout the day, following the DTA Sunday bus schedule. Call 722-SAVE (722-7283) for times or check the bus schedules at duluthtransit.com. Here are just a few of the DTA locations where participants can catch a ride to the DECC:
