There is SO much going on at the DECC and near Bayfront Festival Park with Bentleyville tonight it prompted the Duluth Police Department to issue a Traffic Advisory.  I am volunteering at the UMD Bulldog's game for the Northern Lights Foundation tonight and will be going WAY early to make sure I get a parking spot and avoid traffic delays.

With the promise of the temps getting into the 20's this weekend we suspect there will be record numbers of visitors to Bentleyville tonight.  The past few weekends have attendance record breaking!  While there is a designated parking area for Bentleyville, it fills up fast and the overflows starts to find their way towards the DECC parking.  And the DECC is going to buzzing with three HUGE events tonight too!

Traffic delays and congestion is definitely on the horizon with the UMD vs. North Dakota hockey game.  That is always a sold out game with standing room only.  Due to the upcoming Christmas holiday the Northland is anticipating the MN Ballet’s Nutcracker performances in the DECC symphony hall, again a performance that renders a full house.  To top those two events off, the Arrowhead Ice Fishing, Snowmobile & Holiday Show is on now through Sunday and with the promise of fun for the whole family that will bring in many, especially since our lakes haven't frozen over and no one is ice fishing yet.

The Duluth Police Department asks if you are going to any of these events, please utilize the parking ramps in Downtown Duluth and use the skywalk to access the DECC and Bayfront Park.  You'll have less wait time trying to find a parking spot and waiting in line to get into a parking lot.  Ultimately, make sure you leave early enough to allow time to get to your event on time.
