Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate. According to her campaign, one of the main reasons is his likeability and his chemistry with Harris.

Last year, Governor Tim Walz and his daughter Hope shot some videos at the Minnesota State Fair. Twin Cities news station Kare11 shared clips of the video, and it's been getting a lot of attention nearly a year later. There's a lot of support for Walz in the comment section since he's become the VP candidate, and also some negative comments. One thing is for sure, he's been getting more recognition outside of the state of Minnesota.

In the video, Walz explains that he and his family have a tradition at the Great Minnesota Get Together. They do something old and something new. Walz picked the Ye Old Mill Ride as his old thing to do, and his daughter picked the slingshot, which Walz didn't know anything about.

One of the highlights many people pointed out is when Walz says they are going to get some food and suggests a corn dog.

Walz: We're going to go get some food, corndog?

Hope: I'm vegetarian

Walz: Turkey then...

Hope: Turkey's meat

Walz: Not in Minnesota, turkey's special

That's quick on his feet because Minnesota is the nation's largest turkey producer.

They then show a clip of Walz and his daughter Hope screaming their lungs out on the thrill ride.

The majority of people who watched the video left positive remarks and were happy to see a "normal person" as a candidate on the ticket.
