Attention anyone that is planning to do the Polar Plunge this year, or if you are one of hundreds who come out to cheer them on; the plunge site has been moved. As some of you may know, for many years the Polar Plunge took place in Canal Park behind Endion Station. Due to construction in the area, it is impossible to hold the 2020 plunge there.

Thankfully, the Duluth crew for the plunge was able to meet with the City of Duluth and secure permits for a new location. The plunge is still set for February 15 with start time of 2 pm. The new plunge site is on the bay side of Park Point, near boat launch across Minnesota Avenue from the Park Point Beach House, near the Duluth-Superior Sailing Association.

Buses will still be running to and from Grandma's Sports Garden in Canal Park continuously to bring plungers and spectators to and from the plunge site. At this point, organizers are not sure how much parking will be available in the lots by the recreation area, so everyone is encouraged to take the free shuttle buses. Besides moving the site, everything else remains the same with a pre and post party at Grandma's Sports Garden.

The 5K, which was cancelled last year due to Lakewalk construction, will resume this year. it will also happen on Park Point, following the plunge out to the new location.
