Catch Duluth-Made Movie At Free Screening This February
This is the BEST way to get out of the cold! A movie shot in the Duluth area is hosting a free screening so you can see it in the very place it was made.
We've had several movies and television shows filmed right here in the Northland over the past few years, thanks in part to some great incentives for filmmakers to shoot their films here. We get a little excitement out of it, too!

A thriller called Stone Creek Killer is a great and recent example, filmed in Chisholm. It premiered on Thanksgiving last year in select theaters and online as well. I thought it was really good!
This is one example of many. Another recent movie that was filmed in the area is also gaining major traction since being released - and now you have a chance to see it in a very Minnesotan way, if you will.
All About 'The Hockey Mom's Revenge' Movie
You probably heard of this movie! It was filmed around Duluth and Hermantown and premiered on Lifetime at the end of last year. This movie caught a lot of buzz ever since and was hailed as grabbing your attention right out of the gate!

The movie is about a former hockey player named Diane who dreamed of going to the Olympics. She becomes obsessed with her son's success, which turns into jealousy towards another woman and her hockey player son.
According to IMDb, from there "she manipulates, sabotages, and endangers others to ensure Alex comes out on top." Woah! This seems intense in the best way.
The movie was filmed all over the area last June. It really is fun to see places we see all the time on the silver screen. That's just another reason to see this movie and now you have a chance for free!
