It may be a little early but I am not mad about it! It seems like the Haunted Ridge is officially on this year.

Yes, we have a long ways to go until October but since we are slowly crawling out of the pandemic, it is nice to know that we won't have to worry about this event going on as usual this year.

Event organizers shared the news on their Facebook page Tuesday (April 13), sharing a calendar with tentative dates and times for the event. As of right now, it looks like the event will kick off on Friday, October 8th and continue through Halloween.

Part of the reason for sharing the schedule is so they can start to gather volunteers for the event and / or start to share dates so people can note it in their schedule to help when October does roll around. The Haunted Ridge always needs actors and ghosts, security, parking officers, ticket takers and more.

Event dates and hours are scheduled to change beforehand but I love that they released the schedule because Halloween will be here before we know it! Last year, with so many events being cancelled, whether or not this haunted event could go on as scheduled was unknown for a bit.

Thankfully, the Haunted Ridge was able to happen! They announced in August that the event would be on and it was just as fun as always. By the way, the Haunted Ridge is located at 1781 County Road 1 in Carlton.

Other haunted attractions were not as lucky. The Haunted Ship was scrapped for the third year in a row, having been cancelled in the past due to construction and last year, due to the pandemic.
