It's not often you get to give city leaders a piece of your mind - at their request!  But that's exactly what the City of Duluth's Parks & Recreation Division has in mind.

The city department is looking for your input into the next phase of planning for the Essential Spaces:  Duluth Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Trails Plan. And providing that input is easy.

At stake is the future of these recreational spaces over the next decade.  The Essential Spaces:  Duluth Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Trails Plan will serve as a long range master plan that will "guide decision-making for Duluth's park system".  City leaders want everyone's voice at the table.  They believe that public participation is needed in order for them to better understand how parks, recreation, open space, and trails in Duluth should be preserved, developed, improved, and enjoyed over the next ten years.

Public opinion will be gathered by way of a community survey.  That survey will be open through November 9 - with the ability for everyone to take part.  The link to the community survey can be found on the website for the Essential Spaces: Duluth Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Trails Plan website.  Click here for all the details. All input and opinions offered as part of the survey process will be kept confidential.
