It's been almost a year and a half since a fire took away a vital part of Cook, MN. Now the new store is open and the community of Cook couldn't be happier.
The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board has approved a $350,000 grant to the City of Cook to help with the Zup's grocery store rebuild. It was destroyed last fall in a fire, leaving residents without a local grocery store.
