Real life zombie hunting? Yep!

The internet is convinced that Starbucks is coming out with a new drink just in time for Halloween.

Argonne is an organization that studies how fast viruses like Ebola and MRSA could spread by using computer models.  To have a little fun, this fall they took a break and theoretically simulated how long it would take a zombie virus to spread over Chicago.  This short simulation is a little creepy.

With the TV zombie phenomenon of 'The Walking Dead,' 'Fear The Walking Dead,' and countless movies highlighting the zombie apocalypse, you start to wonder what you would do in that situation.   What would we do, as residents of the Twin Ports, if a zombie apocalypse began here...

I was driving through 40th Avenue West yesterday when I noticed these massive concrete walls being constructed.  "What is that?!" I exclaimed.  We had to go get a closer look.  Sure looks like a zombie fortress to me!

If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you've been waiting since December for the show to return.  Sundays haven't been the same at our house, and there hasn't been much excitement about TV during the week.  All of that is about to change after you see this preview.  We're just 3 weeks out until Feb 10th!

Last night was a long time coming.  Not only because we were waiting for season 3 to start, but we were waiting for season 3 to be good.  Everyone talks about how pacing became and issue in season 2, so I was a little worried that we wouldn't see the group get into the prison until mid season.  What a refresher that they are already inside by the end of the episode.

Perhaps one of the most bizarres stories we heard this year about a man eating another man's face has become even more bizarre.  Police had assumed that the man who attacked another man and ate his face was high on bath salts.  Toxicology reports came back with only marijuana found in his system.

The zombie craze has spread like an infection and Run For Your Lives has come up with a way everyone can enjoy.  Whether you're an avid runner, or an avid zombie lover, you can play along.  Runners can register to compete in the zombie apocolypse corpse.  Others can register to be zombies, get free make up and go after them!

Ok, so we've established that I'm a pretty big nerd when it comes to this show.  I found this video on the nerdist channel on YouTube and had to share it with you.  Chris Hardwick and his team of nerds take on The Walking Dead in a bowling match.

I've heard a good amount of buzz about this show for the past year, but I didn't actually sit down and watch it until the other day.  I saw it on Netflix and thought I would give it a try.  In two days, I watched the first 3 episodes.  I would have watched the first 3 all at once, but it's not exactly something you can have on with the kids in the room...
