For the female Vikings Fan this is a fun filled day to show your purple pride and have some fun!

People always try to look their best, sometimes there are shortcuts or secrets that help them to do that with a cream or a tuck, or tape. Women's magazines play on that sometimes with the headline articles to sell more when they reveal something of a famous star who tells how to look younger or thinner.

I had the pleasure of attending the "Recognizing Women as a Driving Force Event" with the Woman Today Magazine at the Northland Country Club. The dubious award is given to women in our area that go above and beyond their daily contributions and deserve to be recognized for their additional time, talents, knowledge and volunteerism they give to Northlanders and for some, across the world!

What is the perfect man? Some women believe it has to do with the way he treats her. Some women think it's looks, money, and stature. Some women think it's Aaron Rodgers. All of them are wrong. Experts say, and by experts I mean women say, the "Perfect Man" does not exist.

Everyone has their own way of leaving the game, the job, a career. Some players have a retirement tour, some will just announce it. USA Soccer's Abby Wambach tweeted, "Make Them Forget Me". Then she deactivated all of her social media accounts. no one knew what that meant. The new gatorade commercial explains it all.

So many stories came out of the Dirty Chicks. If you talked to 10 ladies, you would get 16 different stories. You think my math is wrong, here are some pictures telling a different story than someone else who took pictures. A special thank you to Lindsey Downing for letting me share her pictures.

This Pantene commercial was brought to my attention by another female.  She told me the message was that there was inequality between women and men and that women should remain strong and powerful and forge forward in our quest for equality.  However, after viewing the video and reading what men had to say, I see both sides.  Do you?
