Veterans events

You would expect this from a school that is ranked in the top 25 nationally as a Military Friendly public school.  UW-Superior has coordinated a week of events leading to Veterans' Day on Friday.

God Bless our Veterans of all military services who have sacrificed for you and I.  Today is Veteran's Day, a day to honor and thank those that have served our Country.  Despite the snow storm yesterday and the winter weather advisory in place until noon, the march and ceremony will go on as scheduled.

Many of us are looking forward to the long weekend ahead.  Some are camping, some are opening up the cabin for the summer and some are planning on staying home, sleeping in and picnicking.  However, the weekend leads to an important day, Memorial Day Monday.    Make your plans with your family to attend the Memorial Day Parade and Veteran's Memorial Ceremony to honor our Veterans.

Make plans now to attend the Veteran's Day March that will be held in Downtown Duluth on Sunday, November 11th. It will start at 10:00 am. Gather in front of the Depot on Michigan street, from there the march will proceeding up 5th Ave W to Superior Street, then east bound in the lower lane to Lake Avenue, Then, from the Lake Avenue Viaduct to Railroad street , where it will continue to the North

This Friday is Veteran's Day.  A day to show our appreciation and compassion for those that have sacrificed love, family....life, for our continued freedom.  If you're like me, saying "thank you" just doesn't seem like enough.  Attend one of the events scheduled to honor our Veterans  on Friday, November 11th to show your gratitude.  Here's some suggestions:
