The passing of Mary Tyler Moore was such sad news for a girl of my age.  I grew up watching the Mary Tyler Moore show in the 70's with my family and when I got older thought it was so cool that the setting for the sit com was Minneapolis. The house that you see in her opening segment still stands to this day.

I'm not one to watch TV at night, but my daughter was over and excited about the new Bachelorette show.  It was making history by having the 25 bachelors "pick" from two women who were VERY different in looks and personality.  It was long and I had picked my favorite, both in which woman should stay and which bachelors were yummy.

Saturday was the only night that my parents would let me stay up late.  That's because that was the night of the Carol Burnett Show.  (after having to sit through the painful Lawrence Welk Show).  With all the talk of airlines in the news I was doing research and ran across something that brought me back and still makes me laugh to this day.  Classic Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway.  D

Wow!  Does THIS video bring back memories!!  Everyone remembers the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", but do you remember the short lived, spin-off TV version of the movie?  Or, Jennifer Aniston at age 21?  What a difference!

The movie "Fargo" put Minnesota on the map years ago, and it's doing it again.   Now, FX is developing a T.V. series based on the movie.   The plot will feature multiple locations from Northern MN, and likely Bemidji, MN.

Bringing to life such famed characters as 'The Hobbit''s Bilbo Baggins and 'Sherlock''s John Watson just doesn't seem to be enough for UK star Martin Freeman. The original 'Office' star has set his sights on a leading role in FX's forthcoming 'Fargo' adaptation opposite Billy Bob Thornton, in a role that should sound awfully familiar to fans of the Coen brothers classic.
