This all started last month when we decided to give Duluth, Georgia a call to see if they ever think of us in Duluth, MN.  They turned out to be super nice people, so we sent them a care package of Duluth, MN things.  They returned the favor and sent us some really neat stuff.  Check out the video!

Ok, I'll go first.  I've lived in the Twin Ports for 10 years, and I have never been to the Glensheen Mansion.   How does that happen?  Well there has been a couple of times where I've almost gone, but something has come up.   What have you never done even though you've lived here for some time?

The Duluth Economic Authority has announced the formal recommendation of the Hoff-Giuliani Development Team as the future developer of Lot D, a prime undeveloped 12-acre waterfront parcel. The lot sits between the recently opened Pier B Resort Hotel and Compass Minerals.

The mining industry on the Iron Range has certainly been in the news lately.  Some good news, like laid off workers being asked back, some not so good news with closures that include an iconic tourist destination, Mineview in the Sky

During the peak of tourist season, Duluth's visitor hotspots like Canal Park and the Lakewalk have hundreds or even thousands of extra people milling about and enjoying what our area has to offer. For people that live here and want to get out to enjoy the area's beauty, but avoid the crowds, where can you go...

We are really, really, REALLY getting close to summer with the announcement that the blue Minnesota Slip Bridge is opening, Friday, May 1! It's official with the posting of the summer hours. That means we can expect more action in the Canal Park area soon!

As our Aerial Lift Bridge Series continues, so do questions that cross everyone's mind.  Ken and I got on the topic of weather when we were in the pilot house and I remembered an instance when I saw the bridge get hit by lightning.  We asked, "what happens then?"

It's a sure sign of summer when you see/hear three things in Canal Park.  The 4-person canopy bicycles chugging along the lakewalk, the clippity clop of the horse drawn carriages and the Duluth Transit Authority's Port Town Trolley back in service.  The nostalgic look of the trolley just adds to our city's enchantment!

Minnesota has some beautiful scenic drives that are a treat for motorcyclists to travel.  Explore Minnesota has a new website that highlights these roads and offers a motorcyclist's point of view.

This morning one of our trivia questions was, "Which state is the least visited state in the US."  The answer was North Dakota.   I went online and searched for some more information on it, when I stumbled onto this old video of Karen Duffy traveling to North Dakota to ask the locals.   You'll laugh out loud.

I have some friends coming up to visit Duluth at the end of the month.  They asked me about where to stay, and what to see in the Northland.   I ended up putting together a list of must see places in Duluth.   See if you agree:
