Ticks

The weather hasn't been great lately, but it was enjoyable to have a record setting March across the Northland.  The good news was the warmth and sunshine.  The bad news was an early allergy season and now, an early tick season. We are well trained in the area to be aware of ticks and the health risks they can cause if not found in a timely manner.  My mother suffered from Lyme Disease and Read Mo

So sad.  The best ways to prevent a tick bite are by using repellents and wearing long pants and light-colored clothing.  Also, make sure you check your kids for ticks and bites when they are outside.  My mother was treated for Lyme Disease and it left her with arthritis.  She recently had another suspicious bite and was treated with medication.  Brad Paisley was right, check each other for ticks!
