The Walking Dead of Season 7 is a far-cry from the early days of Season 1, and it seems some ominous words from a forgotten friend will come back to haunt Rick as such. Our official title and synopsis for the October 23 premiere has arrived, calling back to mind a Walking Dead character many thought they’d never hear from again.

Walking Dead companion series Fear The Walking Dead wrapped up its second season with a few hints of the world leaning farther into the zombie apocalypse, but fans will always wonder if the two series would ever cross over. Robert Kirkman even offered a tantalizing hint at New York Comic-Con, suggesting a Fear-ful origin for one of the comics’ current villains.

There’s no turning back for The Walking Dead Season 7, especially with just over a month before Negan’s victim finally steps (or kneels) forward. Kicking off the final countdown is some stylish new Negan key art, along with a Kingdom-centric new promo to establish the enigmatic Ezekiel, and his fearsome companion.

However frightening the new Walking Dead big bad might seem with this trusty bat Lucille, Negan’s weaponry has a serious upgrade in the latest look at Season 7. See for yourself, along with a possible glimpse at the character’s new look in the latest Season 7 photos.

Heading into its seventh season, The Walking Dead is already at an age when most series would look to start wrapping things up, though its status as AMC’s flagship hit with miles of Robert Kirkman story ahead would make that unlikely. It’s a question sure to plague the AMC series more and more in the coming years, but according to Andrew Lincoln and Scott Gimple, one idea sees Robert Kirkman ending both his long-running comic and the TV Walking Dead simultaneously.

However The Walking Dead chooses to address its big cliffhanger from Comic-Con 2016, we at least know Morgan and Carol remain safe, and en route to their new armored friends’ mystery camp. A new photo from Season 7 seemingly confirms as much, but is this our first official look at comic locale “The Kingdom”?

Whatever complaints we level at The Walking Dead, few could argue the artistry of the undead outshining movie zombies year after year. Season 6 served up some particularly gross walkers, from sewers to sandwiched in a quarry, so gird your stomachs for a look at the best from the Season 6 Blu-ray.

The Walking Dead has borrowed somewhat more liberally from its source material than adaptations like Game of Thrones, though there always remains a possibility of the AMC drama catching up to, even overtaking Robert Kirkman’s work. The live-action Walking Dead has covered roughly 2/3 of the comics over six seasons, so is Kirkman worried about catching up?

Death on a genre series is increasingly difficult to accept these days, something The Walking Dead learned the hard way in Season 6 when fans easily deduced Glenn’s survival from an apparently-grisly demise. That super fan-sleuthing again reared its head with the Season 6 finale, but series star Lauren Cohan says viewers may be wasting their time picking apart the audio of Negan’s now-famous kill.

The season 6 finale of TWD left us on a cliffhanger, as was promised.  But I have a problem with the way they did it and the use of cliffhangers all season long.  In fact, when the credits rolled I, I rolled my eyes not believing that they've done it again.

Were The Walking Dead not ubiquitous enough already, nor California already a zombified hellscape, Universal Studios Hollywood wants to do its part. Having previously featured The Walking Dead exhibits as a Halloween attraction, the zombie smash will now infect Hollywood fulltime.
