Everyone is having trouble finding a job. The old way of looking in the newspaper has gone by the wayside. Employers looking for good employees has been a tough find. A Seattle company called Jobaline wants to change that and they are using....texting. Everyone seems to be texting, why not use it to GET a job.

We've heard the story that it's so unsafe to drive and text. Surveys have shown it's worse than driving drunk. Have you seen the video of the woman who walks into a wishing pool at a mall because she is texting. The guy who fell in a man hole for texting and walking.

Being a teenager is a perilous time in one's life as a not-quite fully developed brain will cause the teen to make all kinds of questionable decisions. Now thanks to a new phenomenon called sleep-texting, the teenager can even make these bad decisions while they are catching z's.

Excuse the pun, but while I've been on vacation, something on NNC caught my EYE.  The Eyes Forward Campaign.  Texting is a huge distraction and while this campaign is geared toward students, we adults should perk up and take notice of the warnings and consequences, before it's too late!

Although it became a widely used form of communication only recently, texting is actually a decades-old technology. In fact, it celebrated its 20th birthday on Monday, which makes it older than most of the kids who use it. OMG!

Thanks to text messages, and now Twitter and Facebook, a whole new language of abbreviations has developed. But if you don't know your IMHOs from your YOLOs, you are not alone.

We all know about the dangers of texting while driving — but what about texting while walking?

I was at a bar hosting a party one time. I always make the rounds in the hopes of meeting new people. I look down the bar and all I can see is the din of light from phones on the faces of all the people at the bar. I even went up to a couple and said, "How is your date going?". Yesterday, many of our local law enforcement, dignitaries and athletes held a press conference at UMD's Romano Gym to bring awareness to the statewide Distracted Driving enforcement effort.  The  increased enforcement will take effect today. Here's some tips on what is considered legal in the state of MN and how to avoid distractions while driving.

The MN State Patrol and other law enforcement agencies are conducting a statewide extra enfocement campaign on April 19th to stop distracted driving.  Distracted driving includes the biggest problem now:  Texting and driving.

It’s happened to everyone — you text your husband or wife, “I love you with every fiber of my being,” but your phone actually sends, “I love you with every fiber of malaysia.” Most of the time it’s funny, but one person experienced the worst case of autocorrect ever. So bad, in fact, that it prompted a school-wide lockdown.
