I don't know if this is worthy of calling it an accomplishment or not, but I am the first soup customer of the Central Entrance Subway restaurant of this season.  (Ok it's not an accomplishment.)  And yes, I was extremely excited when I saw they had the soup out today.  What an exciting life I lead.

I always look forward to the Empty Bowl Event!  While I know it's designed to help fund the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, I can't help but feel that Spring is that much closer to reality.  I also always enjoy adding another "Empty Bowl" pottery piece to my collection and the soup at the event is unique and delicious.  You don't have to wait until the "Sea of Bowls" o

Ok, we've all tried the diet soup recipe and the seven day plan, right?  My first recipe was all water and vegetables and not much flavor.  It was really hard to stick to it.  The search was on to find a tastier cabbage soup recipe and I found it on a website from a gal named Catherine.

The Northland is expecting a rain/snow mix.  To the South in Minneapolis, 4-6 inches of snow.  You didn't have time to dig the crock pot out from behind the bread maker on those make-shift shelves in the dark room of your basement, but you want to serve something warm and tasty for dinner.  Here's the answer, Taste of Home's Roasted Pepper Potato Soup.

I'm so excited for the annual Empty Bowl event today.  Ken and I will be there starting at 11a to serve delicious soup, we'll meet you there!  It actually started months ago when adults and children in our community started putting time and talent into making the bowls.

I love the Soup Nazi character from Seinfeld.  It's one of my favorite episodes.  Now the actor that played him, Larry Thomas, is using his soup fame to help feed soup to people in need.
