Could this really happen this year of legalizing recreational marijuana use in Minnesota? A group of DFL lawmakers are ready to bring this to the senate.

This is great news for all those little entrepreneurs out there trying to male a little extra cash on the side.

Racine Wisconsin Senator Van Wanggaard is introducing a bill to repeal the 48 hour waiting period for people buying a handgun.  His reason is that background checks are instant now, and don't require extra time to see if a person can legally purchase a handgun.  People in favor of the waiting period say it's a good cooling down period.  But, does that make sense?

After over 4 hours of debate the Minnesota Senate, by a vote of 37 in favor to 30 opposed, has made gay marriage legal in the state of Minnesota.

It's a historic day in Minnesota as the Senate takes up the measure that would legalize gay marriage in the state.  This is currently being debated and you can watch it live.

Monday the House passed a stadium plan with some modifications.  Tuesday it was the Senates turn and after 11 hours of debate, they also have passed a Vikings stadium bill by a vote of 38-28.  Like the House, the Minnesota Senate made changes and now the two sides must compromise before sending the bill to its final destination to be signed by Governor Mark Dayton.
