Minnesota's state law provides a small number of exceptions to the rule.

When I was a child seat belts, car seats or restraints for a child in a moving vehicle were nonexistent. I remember standing between my parents on the bench seat of the gas guzzling Chrysler as a toddler. Congratulation to the The City of Duluth Police Department.  For their efforts to keep us alive and safe with the "Click It or Ticket" campaign last year, they are being recognized by the State of Minnesota.

Don't get excited!!! You have to live in Maryland. Police were out yesterday and gave a crisp new dollar bill to those that had seat belts on while police on route 301 made random stops. If you didn't have on your belt, you got a ticket.
