I like a good ghost story with a little mystery and "The Others" is a nice recent addition to the genre.  I won't give away any of the surprises, but if you want a quietly paced story to watch in the dark this will do the trick!

I realize my first three scary movie recommendations were for older movies and I think that is for two reasons.  First, I saw those movies when I was young and easier to scare.  Second, it is hard to make a good creepy movie and I never got into the torture type movies that became so popular in recent years, like 'Hostel'...

As Halloween approaches you should mix in a creeping looking demonic kid into your viewing schedule and The Omen will work just fine.  Make sure you watch the original 1976 movie starring Gregory Peck, not the horrible 2006 remake (also keep in mind that as far as the sequels The Omen 2 is watchable but they get worse and worse from there)...

Halloween is right around the corner, so I thought that on random days leading up to the event I would share with some of my favorite scary movies so you can get ready.  First off is a good, spooky ghost and mystery movie.  'The Changeling', starring George C. Scott was made in 1980.  Scott plays a man who has tragedy turn is life upside down so he moves into a big old house to start over.  As it
