If you've driven I-35 south of Duluth in the last several months, you've probably noticed this gigantic new building.

River levels have gotten very close to the bridge deck for the Jay Cooke swinging bridge, leading it to be temporarily closed.

The river is expected to crest sometime on Saturday and is forecasted to cause moderate flooding in the area. It's very similar to the flooding that happened in 1999.

It raises money for a good cause and there will be prizes, live music. and more.

This spring has seen some incredible roaring rivers and streams. We did some math to get some crazy numbers about how much water actually goes over this dam!

The Department informed the public on Facebook Sunday night after seeing the crime occur several times recently. Here's what they had to say.

We got a lot of rain and wet snow in this week's snowstorm.   Because of that, a flood advisory has been issued for the St. Louis River in the Scanlon area, as it is expected to reach 10.9 feet, which is slightly higher than the flood stage of 10.5.  Minor flooding could occur.

At noon today, June 23,  The American Red Cross closed its Scanlon shelter.  In their press release, Judy Hanne Gonzalez, executive director of the Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross, stated that the shelter had no occupants last night.
