If you've driven I-35 south of Duluth in the last several months, you've probably noticed this gigantic new building.

River levels have gotten very close to the bridge deck for the Jay Cooke swinging bridge, leading it to be temporarily closed.

The river is expected to crest sometime on Saturday and is forecasted to cause moderate flooding in the area. It's very similar to the flooding that happened in 1999.

We got a lot of rain and wet snow in this week's snowstorm.   Because of that, a flood advisory has been issued for the St. Louis River in the Scanlon area, as it is expected to reach 10.9 feet, which is slightly higher than the flood stage of 10.5.  Minor flooding could occur.
