It was 20 years ago this week that Phil Hartman died. We remember Phil for how funny and kind he was, and this audition tape will make you smile.

I just about died laughing at Saturday Night Live over the weekend.  If you were able to stay up late enough after the late start due to the packers game, you were rewarded with some great bits from Saturday Night Live.  Adam Driver hosted, and he was a natural on the show.  The highlight has to be Star Wars Undercover Boss!

I absolutely loved Chris Farley.  "Tommy Boy" was my favorite comedy and still is to this day.  We loved him on Saturday Night Live.  He had such talent, and it was such a tragedy when we lost him 17 years ago.  Now, a documentary about his life including interviews with friends, clips from his peformances, and unseen home video shots will be highlighted.  Check out the trailer here. Blake Shelton was the host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and I thought he did just fine overall.  This has been a pretty weak SNL season as a whole, but Blake did provide some laughs.

Blake Shelton is the host of Saturday Night Live this weekend and NBC has begun running his promos for the show.  It looks like Blake, along with SNL cast member Cecily Strong, had fun making these as he used it as another opportunity to rip on Adam Levine.

As a general fan of the show, I have to admit that this season of Saturday Night Live has been pretty weak.  No new cast members have truly stood out and I rarely find myself laughing.  They've had down seasons in the past, and have managed to come back strong.  One way to do that is to keep us preoccupied with popular cast members of the past.

Even during the down years, Saturday Night Live is always funny when the actors can't control themselves and start to laugh.  You're bound to get some laughs out of this video which highlights some of those moments.

On Sunday nightI texted my Program Director.  I didn't know how to handle the Breakfast Club show Monday morning and the task of talking or not talking, or how much to talk about the shootings in Newtown, CT.  It was on my mind all weekend long...

We talked about the horrible review that Guy Fieri's New York restaurant received from the New York Times on our entertainment update.  Well, SNL had a skit that they ended up never airing.  I'm not sure why because I think it was pretty funny.  Bobby Moynihan does a pretty good impression, even if it is a little over the top.  What for yourself!
